John Horler is one of the most highly-regarded jazz pianists in the UK. As the musical director for Dame Cleo Laine and the late Sir John Dankworth, he has worked with countless other great international musicians, in venues worldwide. One of these is the stunning talent of young saxophonist Sam Mayne, augmenting the regular jazz piano trio setup to a vibrant and fiercely-swinging quartet.

From Guys & Dolls
Ed Puddick is a prolific arranger and composer, particularly for Big Band. This suite is a collection of individually-styled instrumental arrangements from what could rightly be termed the perfect musical - Frank Loesser’s Guys & Dolls. All the selections on this recording were featured in the 1955 Samuel Goldwyn movie which starred Frank Sinatra, Vivian Blaine, Marlon Brando and Jean Simmons. Loesser wrote three new numbers for the film; Pet Me Poppa, Adelaide and A Woman In Love, replacing several melodies that appeared in the original Broadway musical.
